It seems over 80% of the people are under false pretenses when it comes to marketing online.

With all the hype and lies out there, and the fact that everyone is looking for the quick easy money,it is easy to believe this is the short way to finiacial freedom.

Let's take the guy who says"You do no selling, no calling, in fact you do nothing at all. We do all the work for you."

Let me ask you this.
Do you know anyone who will go to work all week just to turn around and hand you their paycheck?

I don't and if you do, please introduce me to them. Or how about the ones that tell you, "you can make 500, 1000, even 5000 dollars in your first month.
Just follow my easy proven method."

If it was that easy, wouldn't everyone be doing it.

The truth of the matter is marketing online is a business and you need to treat it like any other brick and mortar business.
You will have to invest time, energy, and money.
Fortunately with an online business you can kept your overhead to a miminum at least while you go through your learning curve.

But please remember, there is no get rich quick solution, only get rich slow.
So don't quit your day job just yet.

Please don't get disillusioned either.
There is money to be made online, just don't expect overnight success.
Give yourself a reasonable time frame to work with.

Then do some research and study up a little on the internet.
You need to check into affilate programs, mlm's, or maybe into starting your own company.

You will also have to decide how much time you want to invest in your online business.
Do you want to do it part time or full time?

What are you looking for in a business opportunity online?

There are many, many different types.
Chose carefully because you don't want to waste your time jumping from program to program.
It's a waste of time and most likely money, both of which you probable have little of.
It can also be depressing and a direct path to failure.

Affiliate programs are one way to make money online.
There is such a huge range of web affiliate programs now available you should be able to find something for you.
Be careful when chosing an affiliate program and make sure you check out the company.

Watch out for false promises, scam and out right lies.
Take a good look at their compensation plan
. If it's to complicated to figure out it most likely hard to get paid.

You don't want a compensation plan that goes to deep.
It will be better to build your team wide, of course that can depend on you.
But you want to build a residual income more than a direct.

The differenence being a residual will pay you months after month.
Where as a direct income pays you for that one sale and done.
that is one advantage of an affiliate program and building a downline.

Also if you have to buy something before you can make any compensation, I suggest you keep on looking.

The idea behind multi-level marketing (MLM) is simple. Imagine you want to sell a product, say vitiamins.
You can sell it directly to consumers or find others who will buy your product from you and sell it to other people.
