cPanel is a Unix based web hosting control panel that provides a graphical interface and automation tools designed to simplify the process of hosting a web site. cPanel utilizes a 3 tier structure that provides functionality for administrators, resellers, and end-user website owners to control the various aspects of website and server administration through a standard web browser.

In addition to the GUI interface cPanel also has command line and API based access that allows third party software vendors, web hosting organizations, and developers to automate standard system administration processes.

cPanel was originally designed as the control panel for Speed Hosting,[1] a now-defunct web hosting company. The original author of cPanel, J. Nick Koston, had a stake in Speed Hosting. Web King quickly began using cPanel after their merger with Speed Hosting. After Speed Hosting and Webking merged, the new company moved their servers to Virtual Development Inc. (VDI), a now-defunct hosting facility. Following an agreement between J. Nick Koston and VDI, cPanel was only available to customers hosted directly at VDI. At the time there was little competition in the control panel market with the main choices being VDI and Alabanza. cPanel 3 was released in 1999; its main features over cPanel 2 were an automatic upgrade and the Web Host Manager.

cPanel 3 tended to be buggy and did not have a good user interface. The interface improved when Carlos Rego of WizardsHosting made what became the default theme of cPanel. Eventually due to internal problems between VDI and J. Nick Koston, cPanel split into two separate programs called cPanel and WebPanel. WebPanel was the version run by VDI. Without the lead programmer, VDI was not able to continue any work on cPanel and eventually stopped supporting it completely. J. Nick Koston kept working on cPanel while also working at BurstNET. Eventually Nick left BurstNET on good terms to focus fully on cPanel. cPanel has been updated and improved over the years. It is now a stable and reliable control panel.

To the client, cPanel provides front-ends for a number of common operations, including the management of PGP keys, crontab tasks, mail and FTP accounts, and mailing lists.

Several add-ons exist for an additional fee, the most notable being Auto Installers like Installatron, Fantastico, Softaculous, and WHMSonic(Shoutcast/radio Control Panel Add-on). Auto Installers are a bundle of scripts which automate the installation and update of, web applications such as WordPress, SMF, phpBB, Drupal, Joomla!, Tiki Wiki CMS Groupware, Moodle, WHMCS, and ZamFoo. Fantastico is a popular Auto Installer but is losing market fast because of lack of updates and fewer number of scripts.

cPanel manages some software packages separately from the underlying operating system, applying upgrades to Apache, PHP, MySQL, and related software packages automatically. This ensures that these packages are kept up-to-date and compatible with cPanel, but makes it more difficult to install newer versions of these packages.

There was a time not so long ago when the individual fought with every ounce of strength never to give up. They were fighting not only for their freedoms but for those of many others as well.

This trend continues today and is becoming more evident as millions of individuals flock to the Internet with high hopes of creating a successful online business only to get caught up in the fantasy bubble of the no work make thousands per month mentality. So easy to get started and very little to risk jumping from this deal to that deal wondering why they are still broke.

Whatever your situation remember this if it is the only think you get from this article. Where Is Your Self Respect? Without it you will never have respect for anyone else. Once lost you lose everything. So hold on to it tight do not let them take it away.

This plan created by the elite is designed to destroy you from the inside out. Look at what the female individual has to compete with every morning she looks in the mirror. Plastered all over TV, at the movie theater, Internet, magazines, billboards etc... you see young beautiful slim models. The same can be said for the male.

These unrealistic standards set the individual up for failure and a poor self image. This part of the elite plan is to distract the individual by focusing on the outer part of oneself thus losing the battle of the inner self. If you have to look perfect to feel good about yourself before you can go into the public sector have you not lost control of who you really are. I am not talking about running around looking like a slob all the time, but why not try it sometime. If you know who you really are will it matter?

What about all those reality shows? Specifically designed to help you escape your own reality, just another distraction to fill your mind up with useless crap while your freedoms are being stripped right out from under your feet. Are you going to just wait and see if big brother is going to make everything right again?

I believe your only chance to survive the next few years is to take control now and start your own home based business using the Internet to leverage your time and resources. Create as much income as possible investing in gold, silver and Real Estate while eliminating all personal debt.

WordPress Is History!

I am through with the worst blogging system found on Google today called WordPress. Within this amazingly obscure and easy to hack system, one finds the most amazing amount of bad information, bad coding, bad template construction and the list goes on and on.

I have built numerous WordPress blogs over the years, but as of late, the system keeps having security updates, sometime on a daily basis, just to try to keep the scammers, spammers, and black hat guys at bay. Obviously they are not doing a very good job of it.

On this positive note, it should be noted that the site: Butch Hamilton, is now hosted on the Veretekk system Platinum Control Panel blogger drone series. On can clearly see the benefits of doing this, and the question comes to my mind. Why is everyone marketing goods and services on Google today, NOT buying a Veretekk Gold System?

I am more than convinced that WordPress, and the associated plugins offered are run by black hat SEO people. I am certainly glad to be in the process of leaving that system far behind.

If you think that business, real business is about guys dressed in three piece suits, driving Rolls Royce automobiles to their high corporate jobs, then think again. Real business is run by solid, well grounded red-necked conservatives, like me. I am not about the hype of the Internet, and as a matter of fact, find most of the Information on Google total BS. Perhpas the following will explain more about me, and my business.

I was listening to Hank Williams song: Country Boy Can Survive, and I thought this would be an excellent way to convey not only my thinking about life in general, but also how it applies precisely to surviving using network marketing as a business model.

The fact is, I am a country boy, born and raised in the country. I am a natural born survivor of things that would make modern man shake and shimmer all over. I have been down the rocky and hard road in my life, and yet, I have been able to build a powerful network marketing business by following a few simple rules and guidelines.

You see, we have been bombarded by so many lies, hype and scam on the Internet, that most people shy away from even thinking about building a network marketing business. I can feel very good at the end of the day for my upbringing to always tell the truth, and never exaggerate anything about my business. Obviously, if one is attempting to market goods and services on Google the right way, one is going to need the right tools for the job. Be aware that having the right Internet tools is vital. One cannot build a solid business using free tools. One is going to have to invest into a business in order to get a substantial return on that investment.

Below are some tools, both free and paid, that I personally use, and recommend. I use these tools each and every day in my profession, and they are proven to work effectively. Basic Tools

Edit Plus - HTML Editor One of the most used tools that one will ever use in writing HTML content will be found in the EditPlus editor. Never use Word or any other HTML editor, as they ALL put in erroneous code into your live submissions. EditPlus is the ONLY clean code editor to use!

Learn HTML - w3schools.com For those who are new to the whole aspect of marketing websites on Google, it will be necessary to learn basic HTML coding. The w3 Schools site is an exceptionally good place to learn this process. Make it a habit to go and begin to learn how to create clean HTML code and hyperlinks. This is a totally free service, and one that I highly recommend.

Google Keyword Selector Tool - This is an excellent resource to begin to learn the process of choosing effective keywords for online promoting purposes. This is NOT the final authority in learning how to choose keywords, as the process takes a great deal of time to learn to master correctly. This keyword tool should be used as a simple guideline only.

Recording Devices

Become aware that using recording devices to create videos and Audios will be necessary. Though this process should be secondary to the overall aspect of writing and publishing content, using recordings for search engine placement will become more apparent as one moves along in the process. In The Warrior Training Course, there will be, in due time, specific training sessions included on how to record and host your information. Using both audio and video recordings to advertise your business is an element that you will want to add at some point. Below are my personal preferences.

Camtasia by Tech Smith - This recording system is one of the best ones to use. It is a recorder that will require some patience in learning, but the results will be exceptional.

AllCapture by balesio - This is another exceptional screen recording system. It is relatively inexpensive to purchase, and the results found by using it to create video presentations is excellent.

MP3MyMP3 Sound Recorder - This is a great free audio MP3 recorder to use for all types of audio recordings. IT is a free service and offers a way to make recordings for Podcast that will increase notoriety and presence on the Internet for marketing purposes.

Additional Software Downloads

Be aware that downloading software from the Internet can be a risky business. I only recommend using trusted sites to accomplish this. I find that researching and using services like the following will provide a safe environment to download and find the best software to use for online promoting purposes.

Cnet.com - I always find safe and reliable software downloads by using this service. They have a broad range of both free and paid services to use.

Free-mart.net - In Veretekk, there is a great place to find software. Here, you can find the best software for all uses, and often times, outdated programs are still available.

Services

Services are available online for all types of promoting. Most of these are free services, and should be considered for your online promoting needs. Learning how to use the services found below will increase your presence online over time. Each one does take time to learn; however, the results will be excellent once that learning curve is achieved.

Alexa.com - This site rating service should be used each and every day for researching effective sites, and for achieving better results from your own marketing websites. Becoming involved with this social community will increase knowledge, and will also served as a guideline to learn to choose the good business models. Download the Alexa.com toolbar, and begin using it each and every day to research your own site, and others as well. There is an Internet education to be found in learning all there is to know about site implementation and construction.

Add Your URL to Google - This basic site submission tool is used on a regular basis for ALL of your live submitted content. It should become a habit to submit your sites to Google for proper indexing.

I would be the first to say that I have never much cared for the term social media. That term conjures up many things for me personally, like the biggest time waster on Google today called Facebook. Cold shivers run up and down my spine when I do login there, which is not that often by the way, and I see the mindless, and mind numbing rhetoric that is posted there so many times that I lose count, and interest, very quickly. YouTube, another of my least favorite social media groups, takes great pride in letting ridiculous nose pickers keep their videos forever; however, for those of us interested in using their exclusive club for things like promoting a business model, heaven forbid! In case the reader has not seen my true thoughts on YouTube, visit the timely video called Internet Censorship, which will tell the actual story about the inner workings of this so called, social media group. Now, we turn our thoughts and perspectives to what I personally believe, is the best social media system that I have seen so far.

LinkedIn

It did take me a while to wrap my head around LinkedIn, but the way that I approach using any site, I take and visualize first, what I wish to accomplish. I check all the different features, and more importantly for my use, I look at the overall performance listed on the search engines for the service. In other words, would I spend my time in using,m posting and promoting this service to others? The answer to this question only comes to me after doing my due diligence and research. I am not, by nature, able to promote something to others that is not real. I only look for value and substance, and this is exactly what I have found within the LinkedIn system.

LinkedIn Groups

I have just started developing some groups within LinkedIn, and I find this a great way to get messages out live on Google where others will find it, and perhaps respond positively. Some of the groups I have started are found below, with a brief explanation of each of them.

Butch Hamiltons Conference Room - In this group, the first one I started, I decided to copy over from my site: Butch Hamiltons Conference Room, some of the same topics of interest that I use there when conducting my search engine optimization training classes for Veretekk. I invited other users to come and share their ideas, and so far, the response has been quite good. The LinkedIn groups are very flexible, and the total appeal for me is that they are incredibly powerful for Google promoting.

What Is a Backlink? - In this LinkedIn Group, I go into the art of creative positive and relevant backlinks for search engine optimization purposes. While I find no really good information, and mostly sales pitches about their importance, I figured to dispel many of the rumors going around the Internet, and actually provide real people with solutions to marketing their businesses. Search Engine Optimization Training and Mentoring - In this LinkedIn Group, I decided to keep those involved in the automated marketing system called Veretekk, updated with the latest ideas and systems that are available within it. The response from other Veretekk Gold Subscribers has been outstanding, and I am positive in the future, this LinkedIn Group will become very powerful.

All in all, I would rate LinkedIn, on a scale of 1-10, with a definite 10! All the links provided in this article are safe to view, and evaluate.

Butch Hamilton Business Directory is intended to provide Google readers with information, ideas, insights and perspectives into the world of search engine optimization. SEO is the art and science of creating a positive profile on the major search engines of the Internet. When done correctly, increased traffic and notoriety is inherently seen, and the site will become known in a relatively short amount of time.

My experience with the TLD .BIZ has been that it is a quite difficult domain to gain much traction on the Internet; however, since I do own BUTCHHAMILTON.BIZ, I thought that I would experiment just a bit and see if I can indeed, draw some interest to this site by fully implementing and integrating the powerful promoting system called Veretekk.

Some background insights into the .BIZ domain is noted here: biz is a generic top-level domain (gTLD) in the Domain Name System of the Internet. It is intended for registration of domains to be used by businesses. The name is a phonetic spelling of the first syllable of business.

The biz TLD was created to relieve some of the demand for domain names in the com top-level domain, and to provide an alternative for businesses whose preferred domain name in com had already been registered by another party. There are no specific legal or geographic qualifications to register a biz domain name, except that it must be for "bona fide business or commercial use". It was created in 2001 along with several other domains as the first batch of new gTLDs approved by ICANN in the expansion of the Domain Name System following the increased interest in Internet commerce in the late 1990s. The TLD is administered by NeuStar and registrations are processed via accredited registrars.

I will put into motion, several strategies to drive traffic to this site, and I will be closely monitoring the overall progress on the .BIZ so that I can provide readers with additional information along the way.

I do understand that most work on the Internet is a test. I will continually test and evaluate this .BIZ to further add to the overall knowledge concerning search engine optimization and the ways to obtain top positions on Google for websites.

RSS (originally RDF Site Summary, often dubbed Really Simple Syndication) is a family of web feed formats used to publish frequently updated works�such as blog entries, news headlines, audio, and video�in a standardized format. An RSS document (which is called a feed, web feed, or channel includes full or summarized text, plus metadata such as publishing dates and authorship.

RSS feeds benefit publishers by letting them syndicate content automatically. A standardized XML file format allows the information to be published once and viewed by many different programs. They benefit readers who want to subscribe to timely updates from favored websites or to aggregate feeds from many sites into one place.

RSS feeds can be read using software called an RSS reader, feed reader, or aggregator, which can be web-based, desktop-based, or mobile-device-based. The user subscribes to a feed by entering into the reader the feed's URL or by clicking a feed icon in a web browser that initiates the subscription process. The RSS reader checks the user's subscribed feeds regularly for new work, downloads any updates that it finds, and provides a user interface to monitor and read the feeds. RSS allows users to avoid manually inspecting all of the websites they are interested in, and instead subscribe to websites such that all new content is pushed onto their browsers when it becomes available.

RSS feeds are an integral part of any proper search engine optimization campaign. Creating a solid RSS feed can result in added exposure on Google, and offers the ability to expand notoriety and presence to other people blogging systems that interject their particular feeds into the system. The key to writing effective RSS feeds simply deals with creating the right type of content. Today, I want to take a look at the overused, outdated, misconceptualize3d, over advertised and downright disgusting term known as free. Everywhere we look on the Internet, in spam emails, in articles, on forums, on press releases, in videos and even in Podcast, we hear that annoying little term, free. If you search on Google for the term free, you will find an amazing amount of stuff. All kinds of stuff, software, downloads, free email systems, free website builders, free press release services, free forums, free games, free adult material and literally everything that you can possibly imagine is available on Google for free. Is it really, or does free actually cost something?

Almost anything and everything in life comes with a price tag. This may not be in the form of money, but you can bet your bottom dollar that free will cost you, and quite possibly, cost you dearly. You will give organizations access to your private email and information. Many will ask that you state your location, or your age, or even your income, so the whole aspect of free flies right out the window, does it not? That so called free software just enabled the company to literally inundate you with email. That free email account from Google just allowed them to data mine all your information for future use. That free Facebook account just invaded your personal privacy, and put you at risk to a degree for other not so credible individuals to have access to your information, and quite possibly, use that information at some point in the future to hack your computer. So, that puts a little different spin in the word free, right?

Free In Marketing

So how in the world does this term free apply in marketing? Well, obviously it applies a lot as most people will advertise free stuff. You know the drill: "free tools, free training, free signups, free ads, free ad submission, free site builders, free conference rooms, free ad blasters, free leads, free lead generation, blast out your ad for free, signup for free and all the rest of the hooch that is seen in marketing. All sites do it. All people in Internet marketing do it. As a matter of fact, we have become so dulled by the word free, that we just blindly signup and then get angry because the company is spamming the inbox. Well my friend, YOU gave them that right when you signed up for free! So, put on your big boy pants and get over it. You asked for free, and you are getting free emails right now advertising more free stuff.

Quite frankly, I am NOT looking for people to signup for my free stuff. I will NEVER get paid for my efforts, and certainly am going to provide nothing on a free signup. I have a rule, and that rule is "unless you are willing to pay me for knowledge and expertise, get lost." I have no time for free mentality when it comes to putting meat and potatoes on my table. That sure as the world does NOT come for free, does it?

If you are marketing, trying to convince someone to signup for free, then you my friend, are a complete fool. If you want a lot of free people in your downline, then its ok. But, if you are trying to make money from your Internet business, then certainly you want to get paid, right? The answer is so simple. STOP PROMOTING FREE!

If you have something of great value, and promote it as free, then obviously people are going to say, "oh yeah, that must really be special, since its free!" People on the Internet today are savvy, and well versed in how the Internet works on Google. They are weary from idiots trying to coerce them into signing up for free, then expecting to get great results from their free program.

It has been said that the best things in life are free. If that is true, then how will we eat, pay mortgages, have Internet access, buy computers and all the rest of the things that we have to have to build a business with today?

You are free to read this free article, but unless you click the additional links here, free is exactly what you will get. Thinking about the word free, do you actually think Google is a free search engine? You might want to go to Google and research the term LSO. If you do this, you will see there is nothing free at all about Google searching!

I received a gift this morning. I am always visualizing what I wish to accomplish in terms of online promoting. I feel the need to share this with every site that I control, as this is the new shift in the way that business will be done on Google.

The .MOBI market on Google is huge. After conducting keyword research on the term, Butch Hamilton pursues, once again, thinking outside the box, and goes directly for the mobile market with the new domain name: BUTCHHAMILTON.MOBI

This site is going to be a constant work in progress. I had purchased the .MOBI domain name some time ago, but had not fully realized at that point, that the whole aspect of building a site is much different, than for constructing, say a WordPress blog. I began to research and look at other sites, and chose this template with which to begin the process.

Since I am fully dedicated to the idea of self promotion on Google, as being the only viable solution for marketers in today's Internet economy, naturally, I am choosing Butch Hamilton as the subject material.

This will be a most interesting test as I have not pursued articles and websites geared directly for the mobile phone market. I will be in the constant forward motion of promoting this site to Butch Hamilton, and also for the term Search Engine Optimization Services. Like any project that I pursue, I will be tracking my progress both on Alexa.com and the search engines as well to determine if the .MOBI domain is indeed a viable resource to pursue.

dotMobi engaged with the W3C Mobile Web Initiative (MWI) to help formulate the MWI Best Practices for mobile content. The practices outlined a number of ways to achieve good user experiences on mobile Web-enabled devices, and recognized several methods of implementing these practices.

mTLD has released a free testing tool called Ready.mobi (see mobiForge) to analyze the mobile readiness of websites. It does a free page analysis and gives a .mobi Ready score from 1 to 5. This report tests the mobile-readiness of the site using dotMobi's recommended best practices.

dotMobi does not itself mandate any particular technology, but does require that .mobi sites produce user experiences consistent with their guidelines and specifically optimized for mobile phones.

The domain has been the target of criticism due to allegedly breaking the principles of device independence. Providing content tailored to particular devices can be done by other means than a specific TLD, such as using hostnames within an existing domain, HTTP content negotiation, cascading style sheets, or other forms of adaptation.

There are technical solutions that provide similar benefits as mobi: compressing/downsampling proxy servers and microbrowsers, like Opera Mobile, which can tailor any website to small display (using Small Screen Rendering technique). However, these browsers must still download an entire page (with graphics and other related files) which, if not optimized for mobile phones, can be time-consuming and expensive to download. To improve the latter issue, the two adaptation techniques can be used together. This is the idea behind proxy-based microbrowsers like Opera Mini that download the optimized and compressed version of web pages through dedicated proxy servers. However, web pages viewed on a mobile via a proxy-based microbrowser are rarely specifically designed for a mobile phone, so it is left up to the proxy server and browser to decide what to compress, what to display, and how to display it, which, unlike the .mobi version of the site, may not necessarily be how the web page owner intends for the mobile audience.

There are also specialized content adaptation solutions, that typically operate on a server, where they employ specialized adaptation techniques to provide optimized representations of Web sites to mobile devices regardless of what browser they use. However, .mobi replaces the intermediary step with the specific adaptation of content for viewing on a mobile phone.

The W3C is also developing new authoring languages, such as DIAL (the Device Independent Authoring Language), which aid authors in creating Web sites that can be used on the huge variety of mobile devices available today. Some adaptation solutions already support the use of DIAL and similar languages in creating sites that can be used with .mobi domain names. Other open source initiatives include WURFL which addresses the problem with a large database of browser identification strings.

All mobi sites must be optimized for viewing on a mobile phone, providing the major advantage of the domain, from the users' perspective, of compatible content. This means, websites may be optimized for the special capabilities and restrictions of mobile devices, such as smaller screens, device form/size, device input/output options, existence of embedded sensors (acceleration, location, touch, etc.), as well as human factors such as expectations of immediacy of results, context awareness under a shortened attention span (compared to home use of the Internet). Although other top-level domains can technically employ the same optimizations for mobile phones, in practice, only a fraction of them do, thus necessitating content adaptation solutions. These retrofit the content to target devices independent from the original process of creating the site. On the other hand, dotMobi promotes creating two separate device-dependent World Wide Webs, one desktop-based and the other mobile-based, and thus risks producing redundant content. From a content provider perspective, having to maintain two separate website also represents more work."

The article above leads to more questions being asked on my part. Since search engine optimization services is my livelihood, is a domain name like BUTCHHAMILTON.MOBI viable for website promoting? This question can only be answered after time and diligence in pursuing the timely art of site promotion on Google.

I wonder how many people who currently own domain name websites really take the time, or make the effort, to dig deeply within their own site, and discover new techniques and strategies, often called search engine optimization services, that will enhance their money making efforts from that so-called good looking website?

It has been my experience over the years, that most simply move too fast to develop even one website to the full extent. They are busy trying to create backlinks, writing content rich articles for site promoting, and are busy trying to figure out how all this works in terms of actually being able to create something digital on the world wide web, have people come to it, and buy something, or at least become a prospect. Too often, I believe that we are, in most cases, putting the cart before the horse. Total inexperienced people to the Internet tend to think that anything on Google happens very quickly. This is simply not the case at all. It takes time to properly produce a well foundational based website, and then to promote that website takes even more time, energy and effort. SEO-The Simplicity Of It All

There is an amazing story behind all the claims of success, the secret software download programs that get you to the top of Google within 24 hours, getting rich on the Internet with no effort and all the other lies, hype and scam that is pervasive in this often not perceived as real element called the Internet. I have been on numerous forums where people are chatting and bantering back and forth about what should be done towards getting to the top of the search engines, and more importantly, what should not be done, its no wonder that Newbies to the world of digital misinformation could very easily be totally confused, disheartened, and have their wallets made just a little lighter by trying to market some type of business on Google.

The endless flow of information, some good, but most very bad, seems to be reflective of a Facebook chat session. People seem to be able to communicate quite easily on those types of social media, but when it comes to sitting down in front of a bland notepad, their senses seem to leave them dazed and confused as to what to write, when to write, and even if to write about themselves, or their business. The Way People Search on Google

Since being in the search engine optimization services field, I take searching on Google to, perhaps, a different level than most. I want to find real information, from real people who are constantly improving their site for content, services and other products that i may be looking for.

When I come across a site where some so-called SEO guru or company, I always begin by searching their name. If they are really who they say they are, then finding them on the Internet, then they may be worth reading about. If they are not found anywhere, then I figure that they are just like the other 95% of people trying to fake it until they make it in this industry.

Take Butch Hamilton for instance. This is a keyword term on Google. This name stands for search engine optimization. This name stands for hours of countless hours of work, sweat, blood and tears to get to this point in time. It is called branding, and it is the most important element needed in the entire SEO process. After all, if people cannot find you, your name, or your company on Google, then you will never make sales, and you will fall hopelessly into the broken world of digital trash for your sites.

I use the Google search to research, test, find information and evaluate the performance of sites claiming to be something special. If I find that they are not that, then I fly quickly past them to find the real answers to my questions.

She actually was a very good writer, but when I visited her site, it was rated on Alexa.com as being somewhere in the area of 15 million. I thought to myself, if she was promoting herself first, instead of her BS lead generation system, she might just stand a chance at success. The way that she is going now, she stands none.

Another mystery about people who search and try to market online is the utter lack of actually sitting down and writing content. Anyone who knows anything about Google should realize that keyword writing is the absolute way to gain positions where people find your information. I cannot say how many articles I have written over the years, but in reality, it would blow the mind of the reader here. Writing will always be the master, and there will never be a work around to this. Oh, and by the way, if you are trying to outsource or spin articles, then you should be, and will be, severely taken down on the Internet. There are no quick fixes, there is only real work, hands on, sitting in front of the PC with an Edit Plus document and writing.

Inspiration VS Perspiration

Since working on the Internet entered into my life some eight years ago, or more, it is becoming more apparent to me that the whole process called search engine optimization services is not just a job, it is a real passion that I possess. The inspiration that came to me in that brilliant flash of light one day was that I was to do something totally different with my life. My background in welding and construction for thirty years or so was going to take a welcome back seat to this whole process of working in front of a computer screen. It was not luck, it was pure inspiration that led me to buy my first pc, and begin the process known as writing.

You see, writing for me is not just a job, it is the fulfillment of a life long dream towards becoming an accomplished author. This goes back with me as early as age 10, when I knew that I had a special calling to write. I did not know what it was about writing that inspired me, but I did know for a fact that writing would someday become something that I would be great at, and something that I would do expressly for myself.

Obviously, since becoming married at the ripe old age of twenty, there came the natural progression of jobs, raising children and basically working with my hands to support my family. All of the writing dreams and goals had been put on the back burner, to support my family in the only way that I knew how. I did not write, I worked. I did not become inspired, I simply perspired each and every day, toiling away at my chosen expertise of welding, construction and maintenance. That was a time, and it seems so long ago now, that I do not wish to return to. Honestly, I have fixed, repaired, built and worked on almost every type of equipment on the planet. Today, I shutter if I have to pick up a screwdriver to fix a door handle.

The point that I am making is the fact that each and every one of us walking on this planet today has a special talent or gift that can be brought out in some way. Whether it be writing, speaking, creating, selling or simply conveying ideas to others, we should all try to become inspired to accomplish great things in the he limited time that we have here on this earth. And, by the way, our time is limited you know. It slips by now faster and faster, and unless we choose to reach out and go for broke, we will awaken one day, and it will all be nothing but yet another unfilled dream.

I had a thought just a couple of days ago. I thought what makes Anthony Robbins, Dr. Robert Schuller, Earl Nightingale, John Wayne, Gregory Peck, Jimmy Stewart and other great personalities different from us? Honestly, they were better at the art of self promotion. They knew that the only way to gain notoriety was to promote and be themselves..

In that same line of thinking, you will find the last article I wrote titled: "The Art of Professional Branding" very interesting and thought provoking as well.

I will close with this story that happened just yesterday. A friend called me from up North. I will call him Bob. Now Bob is a classic example of someone seeking to find his niche in life on the Internet. Bob has been into many deals over the years, and he always calls me up, "just to take a look," at his newest widget business, and get my professional opinion of it. Bob is pitching me, but he does not want me to think that I am being pitched a new deal. With my special talent for search engine optimization services, it is natural for people to contact me, and want me to join their business. In other words, they want me to work for free, which I personally have a very big dislike in doing. I work for money, not for making someone else rich. I conduct SEO campaigns like no one on the planet earth can accomplish, but not for free. But back to the story about Bob.

So Bob has found another great MLM business, that is barely five years old with a new product that is going to revolutionize the health industry. It is a one of kind brand new secret formula that was developed by a team of experts that just want to help people. Their is nothing else like it, and the corporate staff is fully prepared to help their distributors in marketing this product. The fact is; however, the corporate staff knows absolutely nothing about online promoting. They want people to just go out and tell all of their friends and family about this product, and they will be successful.

I asked Bob one simple question. "Have you promoted yourself, Bob?" He had to pause with his pitch, and told me no. I explained why in this day and age on the Internet, it is very important not to promote affiliate links. As a matter of fact, I have a video that talks very clearly about this problem on Google today titled: Why You Should Not Promote Affiliate Links. If you view that movie, and read the associated text, you will soon discover that promoting affiliate programs on the Internet is something that both Google, and other significant third party live submission services like forums, literally detest. I went on to tell Bob that self promotion first, is the absolute key to success on the Internet. Without this type of thinking, one is just trying to pitch their greatest deals like everyone else is trying to do, and having the same results, which is NO RESULTS!

Bob was very polite and listened, I thought, to the words I was speaking. However, at the end of the conversation, Bob set about once again to tell me of the company, the product, the compensation, the money to be made and how this product is going to be the up and coming MLM company that everyone will want to jump in on at the top.

The point, Bob does not get it, and never will. Unless we can learn to creatively portray ourselves in a professional manner, BEFORE we pitch our business, we will simply fall into the same old trap as everyone else does on the Internet. Money spent, work done and no money in the bank at the end of the month.

I received a call just a couple of days ago from a person who was wanting to get her business up and running, and she had questions concerning the process. She asked me how to go about getting her new business off to a great start. She shared a few details about the business model, why it was so good, why it could produce money better than anything that she had previously seen, and the story goes on

These stories that I write about all come from actual experiences in dealing with people and their online businesses over the last eight years or more. I could not even begin to make up these stories, so keep that in mind when reading this site all dedicated to promoting me, Butch Hamilton.

The story continues how she had gotten injured, and was looking for a way to create money from a work from home business model. In the middle of the conversation, I asked some simple and direct questions so that I could determine her mindset and thinking towards the business. I needed to know if the business she was promoting was indeed a good one, or only perceived by her, as being one that is sustainable.

It turned out that is was some type of reselling program whereby she could earn so much money over selling private label rights of other work, that other people had done. You know the drill, right? ClickBank is the name of the game in her opinion. Now personally, I do not promote this type of business model, as I know for a fact that self promotion, and the ability to promote yourself first on Google is the key to gaining presence on the Internet, but more importantly, you need to have standing and presence on your name, in order to build trust with your potential clients and customers with any Internet business.

I asked her if she was promoting herself, and the conversation quickly went silent. She informed me that she had thought about doing that, but had really not gotten her head wrapped around that concept at all. To clarify this for her, I simply asked her to type in Butch Hamilton on a Google search, and tell me what she saw. She asked which link that I was wanting her to view, and I informed her that the first 100 PAGES, NOT LINKS were mine! She seemed to stop dead in her tracks, and try to evaluate what I had just told her to view.
